- For inward opening sets as a general thumb-rule your overall frame size is USUALLY your door height plus 116mm and your door width & side screens width plus 178mm. (116mm = 47mm frame head + 4mm clearance + 25mm draught bar clearance + 40mm cill) (178mm = 47mm x2 frame legs + 38mm x2 mullions + 4mm clearance to either side of the door) For outward opening sets it is USUALLY your door height plus 102mm and your door width & side screens width plus 178mm. (102mm = 47mm frame head + 4mm clearance to top and bottom of the door + 47mm weather cill) (178mm = 47mm x2 frame legs + 38mm x2 mullions + 4mm clearance to either side of the door)
