Most of our lifestyle images show a pair of handles on both doors, some handles are "unspung" and rely on the lock/latch mechanism to keep the lever part of the handle level, please do not attempt to fit any unsprung handle to the "slave" door at any time.
All door pair sizes are "overall" for the pair, they are not for each door leaf, we cannot stress highly enough that the sizes are for both halfs.
Why these doors are different:
This range is totally different from the Bespoke Rebated Door Pair sections in as much as it allows for odd heights and widths to be manufactured to suit you, all non fire door pairs in this range will be 40mm thick for stability but it may be possible for 35mm thick sizes upon request at Info@directdoors.com, all fire doors will be 44-45mm nominal thicknesses, this main category has four sub categories which sets out flush doors, panelled doors and door with glass in an easy to browse manner.
Please note that you can have a door pair simply meeting in the middle as you would expect of two "individual doors" or fully rebated, rebating is when two doors are machined to allow the two individual doors to work as a pair, the area where they meet in the middle allows the doors to "overlap" and finish flush with each other when closed BUT this "rebating" service cannot be offered on any fire door pair.

Delivery Timescale & Technical:
The range will encompass bespoke oak door pairs, bespoke walnut door pairs and bespoke white door pairs, we will also offer a pretty big range of bespoke fire door pairs and then we intend to offer bespoke door pairs.............., if we don't list it an email from you may just result in you getting exactly what you require.
The delivery schedule is 10 to 20 weeks depending on product choice from your sign off but the process is simple and as follows;
Make your choices as you go through the buying process and place your order.
In some circumstances we may produce a CAD drawing for sign off but this is only supplied if we feel we need to clarify some internal proportions of your door, our suppliers technical team is on hand to produce a detailed CAD drawing outlining your specifications and requirements but on most occasions your involvement in this is not required.
Your bespoke doors are manufactured using the CAD drawing as a guide, we will build your doors to this specification using rigorous quality control to make sure every inch of your doors are made to perfection.
Your doors are delivered to you using our own fleet of wagons or a third party courier, we're able to deliver without any extra charges anywhere in the UK.
Please note that once an order is placed, it cannot be cancelled or returned. The extended delivery schedule is a result of shipping and customs procedures rather than the door production process.
All our fire doors including glazed fire doors are certified and our door suppliers are able to provide proof of performance showing the individual door successfully completed a rigorous fire test to the BS 476 Part 22 standard or the European equivalent BS EN 1634, the fire door matched pairs are shown to allow you to visualise how they would look and are factory chosen for matching the veneers / colour as closely as possible, the certification relates to a single door and a dialogue should be undertaken with your planning and / or fire officer as to the requirements for compliance but most importantly fire door matching pairs cannot be rebated.
Please do not arrange any tradesman until the goods have arrived, been checked over for damages and are suitable for installation as you intended, courier delays due to illness, traffic issues or product damages can also impact on your arrangements. Wood products will have a naturally occurring grain, this will vary regardless of veneer type, this is the beauty of wood. We cannot be held liable for any consequential costs should you arrange an early installation or whether the courier is delayed and lastly if the grain is wavy / straight and not to your liking.
