For inward opening sets: as a general thumb-rule your overall frame size is USUALLY your door height plus 116mm and your door width plus 102mm.

(116mm = 47mm frame head + 4mm clearance + 25mm draught bar clearance + 40mm cill)

(102mm = 47mm frame legs + 4mm clearance to either side of the door)

For outward opening sets: it is USUALLY your door height plus 102mm and your door width plus 102mm

(102mm = 47mm frame head + 4mm clearance to top and bottom of the door + 47mm weather cill)

(102mm = 47mm frame legs + 4mm clearance to either side of the door)
