I must admit that in the past I would have liked for doors to remain the way they were, solid one piece sections, however, like everything else in the world, construction methods have changed, virtually all timber doors are now veneered on laminated timber cores.
As far as external doors are concerned they are very stable in most weather conditions as long as you ensure the door is decorated in full including all four edges.
We continue to make timber doors in the traditional manner, namely, one piece timber per section of door and with Mortice & Tenon joints.
