DirectDoors.com, who are we and what we do!
1. Company history
The company started life as The Door Centre Ltd in a very small and derelict building in the south east side of Edinburgh, in the beginning we would carry out door fitting and supply but after a period of time we expanded in to the manufacturing of timber doors and frames in order to control the quality and offer our clients a superior finish.
It was a gradual drift that has produced the best success, moving from traditional "door fitting and supply" to a fully-fledged web based business you now known as DirectDoors.com and offering all of the products associated with doors and frames while now supplying them throughout the UK and Europe.
2. What products are available to installers and home owners
The range of products supplied encompass all types of Timber, Composite and Pvc doors and covers Bespoke versions where required, the business is focussed on quality of product and has recently expanded its range of interior folding doors and room dividers, the latter is know as Easi-Frame and will eventually grow from its current 90 options/images to a category showing more than 300 options/images in Oak and White primed.
3. Products and services we offer
Our range is vast but that is not the whole story, we offer best advice on adjusting, manufacturing and installing doors and frames, we have been there and done it as far as installation of the products are concerned, our advice in other words in garnered from personal experience over 30+ years and a substantial amount is contained in the DirectDoors.com blog or DIY pages.
4. What differentiates us from the competition
Our strengths are firmly rooted in our staff, their knowledge of the products, our ability to offer genuine and tested procedures for adjusting, manufacturing and fitting doors, the clean, precise and knowledge led web site of DirectDoors.com is also very important.
5. Market and current trends
Our experience of the current market for the building trade is one of an industry in difficulty but also an industry that is becoming more innovative and with a definite shift towards more prefinished timber products suited to interior locations, innovative product design in what is a mature industry is more evident than ever before.
