Plywood Doors are low cost plain doors for painting not varnishing

All plywood doors are generally light in colour and virtually all are supplied for a paint finish although some customers have informed us that they have managed a good finish with varnish.  We recommend that when fitting within a bathroom you should apply paint or varnish on the top edge.

When fitting several plywood doors to your home, place them near the intended openings and check that the door colour is a reasonable match.  If not, turn some of them around or upside down (but don't do this with panel doors) to achieve the best results before trying to fit hinges.  Please remember that all of these models have a hinge side and a lock side, ask for advice if you are uncertain.

This site has continued to expand its supply of semi-solid core and solid core plywood doors.  If you want more sound proofing than the hollow plywood doors would normally offer then the use of the more robust semi-solid or solid core doors may be an option, they are however thicker.

The use of plywood doors has always been strong and continues to grow.  There can be a difference in the colour, this is why they are sold as paint grade, but they can be varnished by an experienced painter.
