What are metric door sizes???

These metric door sizes are quite different from simply taking  a door that is eg; 78x30 inches in size and converting the size to millimetres, metric doors are generally all 2040mm high and in widths of either 526mm, 626mm, 726mm, 826mm and possibly 926mm, they are 40mm thick for the "usual" standard doors and 45mm thick for the 30 minute fire rated doors.

Our pine panelled doors pine doors with glass are made from solid sections of timber which is then over veneered as this type of construction provides more stability and allows for improved use of the sourced timber, quality pine doors don't get any better than this.

Our Internal Pine Doors with Glass are fitted with toughened safety glass as standard whilst our Internal Pine Panel Doors will provide a light natural look within your home, all our wooden pine doors are supplied ready to decorate and we do not supply cheaper pine doors of the type with knots.

Made to Measure Pine Doors:

We are also able to supply a full range of made to measure pine doors, these doors are made from Southern Yellow Pine, are top quality and constructed with traditional Mortice & Tenon joints, each door within these ranges are made from solid timber, not laminated timber....just solid!

We hope you will notice that there is a difference in the colour in comparison to Oak Doors and Mahogany Doors, with the main difference being a variation in the grain, some fantastic heavy graining is eveident with pine and is enhanced as you go through the decorating process.

Quality Pine Doors:

Please be assured that pine doors are not cheap pine doors, they have the same build quality as our oak doors and mahogany doors, the same adhesives, the same level of attention to the quality of the veneers and the identical construction methods, nothing less!

Pine Door Construction:

The pine interior doors are constructed in much the same way as other internal doors in that they are mostly constructed with dowel joints which is a very traditional construction method, this type of pine door is veneered on a solid core or composite solid core and some customers seem to think they are then a cheaper door when compared against solid pine doors but this is not the case, it is simply making best use of the pine veneers and ensuring the future for those generations to come. Decoration of all doors has to be very thorough and must include all 4 edges of the door being treated to prevent moisture penetration.

All glass in our pine glazed internal doors is to British safety standards regardless of whether the pine internal doors are part glazed or fully glazed.

Pine Door Sizes:

Our pine internal doors in lots of instances have at least 3 sizes but in most instances we are able to offer a choice of 8 different sizes and two thicknesses including the unusual metric sized pine interior doors. 

Interior pine door sizes are varied but include 1981x457mm, 1981x533mm, 1981x610mm, 1981x686mm, 1981x762mm, 1981x838mm and  2032x813mm all of which are 35mm thick, we then have true metric sizes, these are door sizes that are all 2040mm high and are 40mm thick, they include 2040x526mm, 2040x626mm, 2040x726mm, 2040x826mm and in some instances 2040x926mm, fire doors will all be 45mm thick for a 30 minute fire door to 54mm thick for any available 60 minute fire rated door.
