We offer four types of sliding pocket door products in flush, panel, or glazed options:

• Single pocket doors: A space-saving solution where the door slides into the wall cavity, perfect for smaller rooms with no space for a hinged door. 

• Double pocket doors: Designed for wider openings, these doors slide into cavities on both sides, offering an elegant way to connect or separate larger spaces.

• Fire-rated pocket doors: These doors meet United Kingdom fire regulations while maintaining a sleek, hidden appearance.

• Telescopic pocket doors: Telescopic doors slide to the same side, into a section within the wall, allowing you to move them out of sight.

Pocket Door Finishes

Select the finish that suits your décor and your project timeline:

• Prefinished doors: Arrive ready to install, saving time on decoration. 

• Unfinished doors: Let you apply your own stain or paint for a customised look. 

• White primed doors: Provide a smooth base coat for a top layer in the colour of your choice.

• Premium-primed: Offered in colour choices, these doors arrive ready for their final coat of paint. The premium primed finish looks so good you’ll want to hang them straight away, but for the perfect result, that last coat is essential.

Our pocket door products are available in a wide palette to complement your interior, from warm traditional, natural tones like oak and walnut to modern shades of grey and neutral white.

The variety of traditional wood grains and contemporary painted finishes allows you to match your door to existing furniture, accessories, flooring, or wall colours.

Glazing Options

If you want more light to flow between rooms, glazed pocket doors are a great solution. We offer numerous options, including:

• Solid core: Offers excellent soundproofing and durability 

• Semi-solid core: Balance strength with affordability

• Full glass: Allowing maximum visibility

The choice depends on where you want to install the doors. A solid core is better for bedrooms or offices, while a semi-solid door may be optimal for en-suite bathrooms, pantries, and walk-in closets. 

Pocket Door Frame Sizes

Most pocket door products are available in standard United Kingdom sizes, making them quick and straightforward to install.

However, if your project involves unusual dimensions, we also provide bespoke made-to-measure pocket door systems to your exact specifications.

Guide to Easy Delivery of Pocket Door Systems

Here is some important information regarding your pocket door delivery: 

• Our internal pocket door kit may be kerbside delivery only 

• Doors are delivered separately from kits

• Delivery of cassette products may be as soon as the next day 

• Delivery of standard pocket doors can take up to 12 working days, depending on your choice of door. However, certain models may take longer.

• Doors, cassette system, fittings, and frame components are all included for easy installation

• Architraves and plasterboard are not included

• The pocket door kit isn’t decorated and requires assembly for the Evokit and Evokit Absolute pocket door systems.

Specifications

The pocket door system is available in two standard widths, suitable for walls with a thickness of either 100mm or 125mm. 

The idea is to build the cassette to the same thickness as the studwork, 75mm (3") or 100mm (4"). This allows you to continue the standard 12.5mm plasterboard over the pocket, providing the wall thickness of either 100mm (4") or 125mm (5"). 

You can add further layers of plasterboard to increase the overall wall thickness. The inner door cavity (where the door slides into the cassette) is therefore 54mm or 79mm.

• Complete with cross rails, cassette edge covers, end posts (single), seals, and brushes

• 100% Galvanised steel cassette structure

• 1.2mm galvanised steel vertical reinforced bars in super-strong profiles for increased strength and reduced flex

• Metal track holder and door post 

• 0.7mm galvanised steel horizontal reinforced bars, with a dovetail section for maximum strength and minimum flex

• Four sealed chrome steel ball bearings for doors up to 100kg

• Horizontal profile sections further reinforce the structure, allowing plasterboard to be fixed directly to the cassette.

How Much Space Do Pocket Doors Require?

• Cavity width: You typically need at least twice the width of the door plus a small allowance for framing.

• Cavity depth: The pocket or cassette system you choose determines the depth of the wall. For example, our “Ermetika” cassette option supports wall thicknesses of ~100mm or 125mm. 

• Wall height: The opening must be high enough to accommodate both the height of the door and the track/cassette above.

• Door thickness: Thicker and heavier doors need stronger hardware and may require more structural support in the pocket frame. 

• Installation kits: Pocket door kits vary in size. Always check the manufacturer’s information, as some kits may require additional clearance.

Are Pocket Doors Easy to Replace?

Replacing a pocket door is usually straightforward, provided the original frame or cassette system is in good condition. In many cases, you can remove the architraves, unclip the door from its rollers, and replace it with a new one. This is especially easy if you’re sticking with the same size and thickness.

Additionally, you can typically swap out worn rollers, tracks, or guides without removing the entire frame. However, if the frame is in poor condition, removing the whole unit will be more involved and may require removing plasterboard. However, our high-quality systems are built to last and rarely need full replacement.
