The Ermetika pocket fire doors are available in standard widths for a finished wall thickness of100mm, the door may be supplied with full decoration but no decor is included to the cassette system parts or its frame, the fire frame does have a fire retardant coating which if being redecorated must also be a fire retardant coating. Fireboard (plasterboard) for the wall and architraves are not supplied.

The system incorporates a galvanised factory constructed steel cassette section and a track set with all fittings, the timber jamb sections are supplied fully machined in kit form, doors may be supplied with full decoration but no decor is included to the cassette system parts or its frame, check each door as you browse for the exact details.

The idea is to build the pocket to the same thickness as the studwork - 75mm (3") so that you can directly continue the standard 12.5mm plasterboard over the pocket providing the finished wall thickness of 100mm (4").

Further layers of plasterboard can be added to increase the overall wall thickness, but other joinery work may be required. The inner door cavity (where the door slides in to the cassette pocket) is therefore 54mm.

Other items such as flush door pulls and bathroom locks can all be purchased separately, doors will require a routered channel to be created in the bottom of the door to accommodate the supplied track guide.

The pocket door frame must be concealed with your own wall and architraves when installing and every effort should be made to make sure any work is fully compliant.

Additional Information

Doors will require a routered channel to be created in the bottom of the door to accommodate the track guide. All jamb kits are supplied to suit all pocket doors sizes and will therefore need cutting to height and width on site.

The sizes listed above are for the overall door and pocket set which includes the metal pocket frame and the Easy stop AB twin dual soft closer/opener but does not include a plasterboard, all doors require a groove to be cut in the bottom for the track guide to fit.
