Here’s what to expect from our exclusive white room divider range.

Versatile Single & Double-Door Styles

Our room partition systems are built to work around your home's layout, not against it, giving you complete control during installation. Simply set your hinges and door stops so the leaves open:

• To the left

• To the right

• Toward you

• Away from you

This setup is suitable for any room and lets you separate large areas while maintaining an open-plan feel. We’ve designed these white room divider screen configurations to solve specific layout challenges:

• Single door with a single-sided screen: Ideal for narrower openings where you need a clear walkway and a fixed pane to pull in extra light.

• Double room divider with a single-sided screen: A great way to create a wider entrance and enhance privacy without blocking off the next room entirely.

• Double door with two side screens: Perfect for wide spans, acting as a glass wall that frames your view while defining each living space.

Note: If your side screens are narrower than the main doors, the glass widths may vary slightly to ensure a sturdy fit.

Diverse Door & Side Screen Sizes

As a specialist room divider supplier, our priority is to stock the perfect fit for your home. We’ve grouped our sizes to help you maximise your available space and match your existing decor:

• Small (762 mm door - 610 mm to 686 mm insert): A compact choice to separate smaller rooms without making the opening feel cramped or boxed in.

• Medium (762 mm door - 762 mm to 838 mm insert): Great for standard hallways, offering a wider glass area to bring light deeper into the house.

• Large (838 mm door - 610 mm to 686 mm insert): Provides a more substantial entrance for high-traffic areas while maintaining a sleek profile.

• Extra large (838 mm door - 762 mm to 838 mm insert): The best way to span a wide gap, effectively transforming a wall into a functional, bright feature.

To ensure everything sits flush within the 135 mm-deep frame, all door heights are set to a standard 1981mm. Choose any door size you need, as long as the combined width of the frame, doors and side screens remains within 3 m.

Note: We sometimes use narrower doors for specific dimensions to ensure the timber sections remain consistent and strong across the entire range.

Glazing Options

Safety is non-negotiable for us, which is why every pane we supply meets British Standard BS EN 12600. You will find the safety stamp etched directly into the glass for total peace of mind.

Whether you want an open view or a bit more privacy, these glazing styles divide a room while managing how light travels through your decor:

• Clear glass: This option allows intense sunlight to flood your home, keeping your view completely unobstructed.

• Bevelled glass: These decorative edges catch the light beautifully, creating a private space with a subtle, tiered effect that maintains a bright atmosphere.

White Room Divider FAQs

Find answers to common questions about our versatile range of white room dividers for sale.

Can room dividers improve the Feng Shui of my home?

We often advise that a wooden partition is a brilliant tool for managing energy flow and balance. Unlike a heavy fabric screen, these doors act like an internal window, allowing light to filter into other interiors while keeping your bedroom or lounge isolated and peaceful.

White is also an excellent colour choice for harmony, providing a clean, simple pattern that prevents a room from feeling cluttered. Whether you need more options for a narrow hall or a wide kitchen, a glass-paned system ensures your home stays bright and balanced.

How do I measure to fit a room divider in my interior?

All white room divider systems come with easy-to-follow fitting instructions, as we do not offer installations. When measuring for an internal door system, ignore your current door size and focus entirely on the brick-to-brick opening.

1. Width: Measure the space at the top, middle and bottom. Always select a size that fits the widest measurement, as you can trim it back for a snug fit without losing stability.

2. Height: Measure from your floor covering up to the underside of the timber lintel.

3. Thickness: Check your current door thickness last. If you have to move to a slightly thinner door to match the frame, it won't affect your decor.

Widths range from 1466 mm to 2478 mm, while overall heights of 2018 mm or 2031 mm provide ample clearance to suit most UK ceilings. We provide the "tight" frame width, so you must allow a little extra breathing room to slide the kit into your wall space.

Pro tips:

• Side screens: Cut these to height from the bottom only once the frame is assembled.

• Hardware: Never fit "unsprung" handles to a slave door, as they rely on a lock mechanism to stay level.

What features does glass need to comply with safety regulations?

To keep your house properly protected, safety glass must pass a specific impact test to prove that it either won't break or will break safely. We only use toughened glass in our room dividers because it offers several vital advantages over standard panes:

• Impact strength: Up to 5 times stronger than standard annealed glass, making it far more resistant to impacts and bending.

• Heat resistance: Handles thermal stress much better than ordinary float glass, which is important when home temperatures fluctuate.

• Safe fragmentation: If toughened glass breaks, it crumbles into tiny, blunt-edged pieces, keeping your family safe.

How do I maintain room divider doors?

Keeping your interior room dividers in top shape is surprisingly easy. To ensure they stay looking sharp and working smoothly in your home, follow these specialist tips:

1. Use a soft microfibre cloth and a standard glass cleaner to keep the panes crystal clear, avoiding abrasive pads that could scratch the safety glass.

2. Periodically check that the handles and hinges are tight, and apply silicone-based lubricant to the moving parts if the doors start to feel stiff.

3. For primed or white finishes, a quick wipe with a clean, lint-free cloth will remove fingerprints and keep the paintwork looking fresh.
