Fitting weather bars (How to fit a weather bar)

how to fit a Weather Bar
1. Start by measuring the width of the door exterior. A slight angle in the weather bar is required at the end where the door meets the frame on the lock side. This will prevent the bar jamming when the door is swung open.

Although we are showing a timber weather bar in our sketch it is better (from our experience) to use the Bry dry or weatherten bar which we have for sale within the fittings area of this site.

2. When fitting a timber weather bar to the door, use screws and a waterproof adhesive. Remember to fill the screw holes after fixing, to prevent water seeping in. Make sure you have also sealed the join between the weather bar and the door to prevent dampness.

This part of the installation is so easy you shouldn't need any further reward, we'll leave it up to your conscience and your liver.
