Security

We take the security of your data very seriously. Our site employs industry standard SSL technology throughout, to encrypt all information transferred between our servers and your web browser. The green padlock in the address bar gives you the peace of mind you need to know that you can shop with us, safe in the knowledge that your details are secure.

Are my card details secure?

DirectDoors uses SagePay to process all online and telephone payments,  the largest independent payment service provider (PSP) in the UK and Ireland. Sage Pay provides a secure payment gateway (Level 1 PCI DSS), processing payments for thousands of online businesses, including ours. It is Sage Pay’s utmost priority to ensure that transaction data is handled in a safe and secure way.

Sage Pay uses a range of secure methods such as fraud screening, I.P address blocking and 3D secure. Once on the Sage Pay systems, all sensitive data is secured using the same internationally recognised 256-bit encryption standards.

Sage Pay is PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) compliant to the highest level and maintains regular security audits. They are also regularly audited by the banks and banking authorities to ensure that their systems are impenetrable, and are an active member of the PCI Security Standards Council (PCI SSC) that defines card industry global regulation.

Is there a padlock?

The padlock image shows that any details are being collected securely using 128 bit SSL technology.  Clicking on the padlock will show you the SSL certificate. Depending on what Internet web browser you're using, the padlock can be located in 3 different areas

  • Bottom right-hand corner
  • Next to the address bar
  • Top right-hand corner

What else can you look for?

If you can't see the padlock on the payment page, make sure the URL starts with 'https' instead of 'http'.  The extra 's' shows you the page is secure.
