Internal Pairmaker Double Doors - Internal Doors
Most pairmaker doors are delivered within 48-72 hours anywhere on the UK mainland, Islands and exports by arrangement.
These two doors are put together as a pair for image purposes and as a guide, we cannot guarantee that the veneers and colour will be an exact match but every care will be taken to provide you with the closest match possible.
These doors are available in Beech, Oak, Walnut or White Primed, our new range of double doors using the pairmaker (or not) are a range of doors where we have shown the sizes that can be acheived by putting two doors together to form a pair.
Please be aware that we may use narrower doors for some sizes of this product whether panelled or glazed, they may have narrower panels or glass than the image shown, this is because the timber sections that make up the doors construction remain the same size across the full range of door sizes.
The "Pairmaker" range of double doors, you can choose to open the doors towards you or away and also choose whether the left or right door opens 1st, virtually all our internal doors are overveneered on a solid core using the latest techniques, the images are there to help you visualise what is possible but care must be taking when making two doors a pair so the glass etc is showing as it should for example.
The sizes available vary from door to door but include 1066mm, 1220mm, 1372mm, 1524mm, 1676mm, 1252mm 1452mm, 1652mm and 1852mm, these are tight sizes without any clearance allowed but by adding the seperately supplied pairmaker rebate component you can add to these sizes by 10mm, a great range of double doors.
Rebating, the word "rebate" in joinery terms relates to allowing the two doors to overlap where the meeting rails of the doors join when closed, you can also choose to add the rebate if you have the correct space within your frame where the doors will be fitted, this range includes a "pairmaker" from our Joinery section within this site and adding this to the doors where they will meet in the middle will add the 10mm as mentioned above.
The door pairs can be fitted with or without the extra "pairmaker" planted rebate for site fixing, using the pairmaker adds 10mm to the "tight" sizes listed and not using it means that the doors will just "butt" together where they meet, the doors can open away or towards you and with the left or the right hand as the slave door, this "pairmaker" item may need cut to height and is supplied without decoration, the 40mm thick metric sized doors in white or Walnut will have an oak pairmaker component which will require decoration.
